1. Who we are

Byteremix Maps is operated by Hassan Nawaz, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan. This policy explains what data we collect when you use Byteremix Maps and why. Contact us at hassan@byteremix.com with any questions.

2. What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself)
• Map data: whatever you import or add - marker locations, custom fields, and any files or icons you upload
• Billing data: handled by Paddle, our payment provider - we don't see or store your card details, only your plan and subscription status
• Technical data: IP address and request metadata, used for security (login rate-limiting, abuse prevention) and basic service logs

3. How we use it

We use your data to operate your account and dashboard, render and serve your maps, process payments through Paddle, protect the service against abuse, and send you service emails (email verification, password resets, billing notices). We don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on Byteremix Maps.

4. Who we share it with

We share data with the following providers, only as needed to run the service:

• Paddle - our payment processor and Merchant of Record for all paid plans
• Cloudflare - hosts the application, database, and file storage that power Byteremix Maps
• Google Maps - if you choose Google as your map provider, your visitors' browsers load map tiles directly from Google
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim - powers the OSM map tiles and address search, called directly from the visitor's browser

5. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. It's required for the dashboard to work and isn't used for tracking or advertising.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a map or an icon, it's removed from our storage. If you delete your account, we delete your account data; contact us if you'd like this done sooner or have questions about what's retained.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your maps and data directly from your dashboard at any time. For anything else - correcting account details, a full data export, or deleting your account - email hassan@byteremix.com.

8. International data

Byteremix Maps runs on Cloudflare's global network, so your data may be processed in data centers outside your own country. Cloudflare and Paddle both maintain their own security and compliance programs for the data they process on our behalf.

9. Children

Byteremix Maps isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
